Ruti Erez Edelson has concentrated recent studies on the Sedentary
Zone in the Negev during the Byzantine Period, concentrating on
settlement distribution and runoff farming. This work was carried out
under the direction of Professor Shimon Dar, of the Martin Szusz
Department of Land of Israel Studies and Archaeology, at
Bar-Ilan University, and Professor Hanoch Lavee,
